Hello friends,
Welcome to another weekly reflection. I began this week thinking deeply about this year’s annual review. I knew that I wanted to discuss it for Workspace Wednesday and so I started off the week gathering memorable moments from 2022 by going through pictures on my phone and camera. The annual review is a useful tool that uses prompts and questions to help us reflect on the previous year.
Here are some resources that I found while gathering information on this topic that you may find helpful if you’d like to put together your own annual review.

On my mind
I may have had my monthly existential crisis this past week, hence the questions and quotes that resonated with me below. It may also be due to the fact that my word of the year for 2023 is intention and therefore, I’ve been thinking more and more about my personal life philosophy and values. I realised that I never gave much thought to personal values on a whole before. Of course, my default state is the basic “do no harm to other people” (I’m no rabid serial killer) but surely there are more things that I should be considering. Honesty, integrity? I truly need to do more thinking about this because I’m coming up blank right about now.
I also made some notes on a video that I return to when I feel stuck and creatively stagnant.
Reading
This week, I finished one book which I’ve briefly reviewed below putting me at 10/24 books for my Goodreads challenge. Next week, I hope to finish The Burnout Society, The Archer and The Clothing of Books. I also started reading Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport on my Kindle and am currently about 8% through.
Media
I re-watched my favourite Black Mirror episodes during the week and thoroughly enjoyed each one.
The Entire History of You Season 1, episode 3
Be Right Back Season 2, episode 1
Nosedive Season 3, episode 1
Arkangel Season 4, episode 2
Striking Vipers Season 5, episode 1
I also finally got to watch The Good Nurse.
